"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"
Alien Planet at the Wisconsin Dells
« Thread started on: Mar 29th, 2004, 8:30pm »
For anyone who lives here in Wisconsin this looks pretty interesting:
Beginning April 2, visitors to the Wisconsin Dells will have an exciting new attraction in the downtown area. Alien Planet is a walk-through “adventure” attraction, featuring 3-D technology. Guests wear special imaging glasses, which accentuate depth perception in certain areas of the building. The science fiction-themed attraction features several “high-startle” scenes and incorporates animatronics, lasers, dramatic lighting, special effects and a complex sound environment featuring multiple audio tracks and more than three dozen speakers throughout the facility.
The adventure begins in the hologram room where a three-dimensional projection of an android woman welcomes visitors to the “Institute for Extraterrestrial Research” and before long, something goes terribly wrong. Apparently, some of the aliens have escaped and our reaping havoc throughout the facility. Guests then navigate their way through a cloning laboratory and witness extremely unusual experiments taking place. Soon visitors find themselves in a botanical nursery where several strange pods and eggs are in various stages of hatching.
Other areas of the journey include a toxic waste containment area and an extraterrestrial morgue. A surprising finale catches guests off guard and leads them into the souvenir area where they can shop for all sorts of alien and space-theme gifts and apparel.
We recommend that you are at least 8 years of age to enjoy this adventure!
