Colors of lights

Why do you suppose UFO's have different colors to their lighting systems? Why do they need lights if they don't want to be seen?

The light may be a by-product of their propeulsion systems, or interaction of the craft with the atmosphere.

You know, the fact that they have lights yet are trying to remain elusive, makes me wonder if most of them aren't really our own governments crafts & secret creations. I'm not even talking about things like the stealth or the alleged aurora, but if our gov't does have a actual crashed saucer, and tried to recreate it, lights seem to go with the human thinking pattern of how to see at night. ?

Just my 2 cents.

That's something Ive always wondered about too. If these are truly Extra Terrestrial beings who try to stay on the "DL" so to speak, then why the lights ?
I've got this feeling that they are used to attract visual attention toward a specific point on the craft perhaps, or that maybe some kind of frequency is set to keep our nervous systems from collapsing were we to step out and look at the craft. Maybe some kind of calming affect.
I was curious to know if people who have seen crafts have felt unusually calm considering the circumstances of seeing something which is almost without a doubt a hinderance to ones lack of faith in life from other places in the universe. The lights I believe can be the cause of this effect. The more moth-like portion of our brain and nervous system being tickled slightly.
