My father-in-law built a "UFO Attractor" that was featured in many news articles in the midwest. I am not certain of everything in the device, but I do know that it uses a series of flashing strobes and laser light to "attract" UFO's. The unit also contains magnetic and light sensors (possiblly others) to detect the presence of a UFO which triggers a video camera to start. He recently passed away and I am looking at selling this unit to a person that will put the unit to good use. The price will be well below what he had invested into this machine. Here are a few links pertaining to the device:
(This web page has an obituary of Mike and a picture of the attractor)

Please e-mail me if you are interested in this device!

"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"

My condolences regarding the loss of your father-in-law. I had met Mike once to check out the UFO attractor & get the pictures/info for the article in that issue of Pancake Perspectives which you listed.
