Hi everyone, here's the introduction to the book:
------------EARS Introduction---------------
"He who has ears, let him hear"
- Jesus Christ, as quoted in
Matthew 11:15, Matthew 13:9, Matthew 13:43
Mark 4:9, Mark 4:23, Luke 8:8 and Luke 14:35

I've come to believe that the Bible contains a lot of information that was published long before it could be fully understood. The situation is much like giving a microwave oven to people who lived during the American Revolution. They might think it was somewhat useful even though they only understood part of its value. After all, they'd see that it was a neat durable box to put stuff in with a cool handle that clicks the door shut. And there's even a window in front so you can see what's in there without opening it.

But they wouldn't see the REAL value of a microwave oven until electricity was available, would they? I think there's a lot of information like that in the Bible. Modern day events such as UFO sightings and breakthroughs in technology help us "plug it in" and really see what it was designed to teach us. The book itself has been around for years, but reading it now, in the light of the current world situation, helps shed a new kind of understanding on its content.

In your journey through the following pages, I invite you to join me in taking a new look at the contents of the Bible. Iíll present the evidence, you play the role of the jury. Most of all, I hope you enjoy the ride and at the very least collect some good food for thought.

I'm curious if anyone has had a chance to check out the book yet. It's a pretty quick read, and I hope it's fun. Of course, I'd naturally love to hear what everyone thinks of it.

Jim,
It's possibly a real interesting and well crafted read. But personally, I don't mix religions and aliens/extraterrestrials together. It's like the worst thing I could think of! rolleyes
But thats just my opinion. cool

I think it definitely a worthwhile read. The connection between ufo's and events in the Bible is a thought-provking idea and seems quite logical. As far as I'm concerned, any idea that makes you stop and critique your own belief system is a worthwhile idea because it either reiforces or modifies your beliefs, neither of which is a bad thing in and of itself. It's part of life.

The chapters about Soul Physics and Go Forth and Overcome are good advice for anyone if they are interested in improving themselves and their lives. Some could argue that Jim is starting a new religion here, but I think that it's more realistic to say that this is an interesting perspective on an existing religion and certainly worth a good look.

Hi,

I think that there are things in the bible that sound like descriptions of what we would today call UFOs. I also think that the fact that there may be UFOs in the bible, that totally rewrites religion. What is commonly construed or believed today in the majority of religions is probably close to being completely wrong. If you look at the bible in the context of having UFOs & aliens, then the meaning becomes totally different. Not sure in what way, I just know that it would totally redefine "religion".

Hello, I'm just responding to Bill's comment about mixing ETs and "religion."

I do think that many people mix them inappropriately, and end up with cults where they use the enigma of religion as nothing more than a power base. Whenever a person uses the mysterious nature of spirituality to convince gullible people that they have the answers and therefore are powerful, that is messed up.

However, when a person uses these people as a reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater, that is also messed up. On one extreme you have people like the Heaven's Gate cult who were obviously nuts. But then does that automatically negate the possibility of ETs being active with people who are not nuts?

"My kingdom is not of this world" - Jesus

Even if you explore the world of politics, people are only attacked aggressively if the opposition sees them as a threat. Religion and politics are strangely similar. Makes me wonder why Jesus is attacked so aggressively - unless he is a threat to someone...
